I decided to bring Tuberose Mexicana back into the spotlight after launching it in February, because lately some people have been asking about it.

It's June, we are rapidly approaching Summer, and it's interesting that I have been getting requests for this fragrance when the blooming season of high-fragranced flowers is almost over. Perhaps a very human desire to give in to narcotic white florals? Maybe a desire to escape reality a bit? We all have reasons why we pursue perfume in all its iterations.

From a practical POV, and following my training in merchandising, June and July are promotional months with few product launches in between. And, I should add that after a busy Winter and Spring, I am slowly fading into my garden in the company of my dogs and my husband. Summer for me is packed with inspiration and travel, and I decided long ago that inspiration + active work don't go hand in hand; one must succumb to one or the other. And I will not work while I travel, travel is poetry to inspiration.

Tuberose Mexicana is a decadent fragrance concocted with real tuberose absolute and enfleurage, with the addition of other spectacular materials like marigold and cardamom essential oils. Unlike other tuberose candles on the market - I won't mention any names, you know them - I opted for a vivid representation of live tuberose.

And the collage you see above was created by my new fave person in the world, the hyper-talented Sèbastien Le Nôtre, who is a descendant of André Le Nôtre, the famed gardener responsible for Versailles, and a lifelong friend of Louis XIV. Sèba is about to exhibit in London, and I will post more about him soon on social media and my blog.

I'll keep Tuberose Mexicana going until the end of July, when I'll return to my monthly schedule of launching new fragrances.
