Beyond The Levant was created to house aromatic treasures from beyond the Mediterranean. 

A historical region of global significance, the Levant was named after the rising sun and is geographically located to the East of Europe. 

The ports of the Levant grew fantastically rich with the trade incoming from Asia and Africa, particularly spices and resins like amber, frankincense, and oud, which contributed to making the region a strategic post to levy taxes, some of which were paid in species and contributed to the Middle East becoming the hub it is still today for anything related to fragrance. 

Global trade during the Age of Discovery carried precious materials from Asia to Europe and the Americas, and vice versa, enriching the aromatic profiles of perfume oils, incense, and cosmetics. This process, which spanned several centuries, came to be known as the origin of Modern Perfumery.
